What is the Small Business Roundtable?
The permanent Small Business Roundtable was established in 2005 to engage in a dialogue with small business owners to identify the key issues and opportunities facing small businesses in British Columbia, and to develop recommendations for small business and government on strategies to enhance small business growth and success.
The Roundtable is chaired by the Minister responsible for small business. Board members are recognized as leaders in their community and represent all regions of the province.
Roundtable Activities:
- Identify, consult, summarize and prioritize the key issues facing small business in British Columbia.
- Provide feedback and advice to Government on specific proposals that impact small business.
- Provide recommendations to the small business community on strategies to ensure continued growth and success.
- Undertake selected initiatives to improve competitiveness in the small business sector.
