Linda Larson was involved in the retail sector of Oliver and is a past owner and operator of Ruffled Edges Wool Store, Steadmans Store and East Side Grocery Store. She was elected Mayor of Oliver in a bi-election May 1997 and re-elected in 1999 and 2002. She is currently on the Board of JABC, also on the Board of Directors of Community Futures representing the South Okanagan, and the Board of the Desert Sun Counselling & Resource Centre.
Linda was born in Comox, BC, lived in many towns across the province and moved to Oliver, the Wine Capital of Canada, in 1989. Linda is a member and past-president of Sunnybank Ladies Auxiliary and a member of W.O.W. (a local women's organization). She has three daughters, two grandchildren and is married to Larry, her husband of 37 years.
