Co-founder of Joomratty & Virk, Barristers & Solicitors

 Sonia obtained her B.A. (Laws) and LL.B. degrees from Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, Punjab, India. After moving to Canada in 2001, she obtained her LL.B. degree from University of New Brunswick.

 In April 2008, Sonia co-founded the law firm of Joomratty & Virk. Sonia focuses her practice in the areas of Business Law, Corporate/Commercial Law, Residential and Commercial real estate, Wills & Estates, and General Litigation Matters.

 Sonia is very active in her community and donates her time to various community related events. She became a member of the Indo-Canadian Business Association(Surrey/Delta) in 2004. She was elected the President of that organization in 2007. She was the youngest and the first women President. Indo-Canadian Business Association (Surrey/Delta) is a registered society with the objective of providing businesses and professionals an opportunity to network and also holds various charity events to support the community. She is currently on the board of directors.

 Sonia is also a member of the Surrey Board of Trade and is on their Business Excellence Awards committee.
